AC2 forced you to kill targets a specific way, whereas AC1 gave you freedom to kill the target in any way possible.

If you played it right, AC1 was the perfect assassins game, also the only one which is historically somewhat accurate, the climbing is better, the characters are better, story is better, even the graphics are better than AC2.

It's also the only AC that lets you kill innocents without having desync, after you finish the mainstory.

The storyline, lore, and gameplay were better but half of the cast was forgettable for your crew and the fact that it was obviously not finished holds the game back significantly. Even with the restoration mod you can still tell it was horribly rushed.

The first game feels more polished but more like a standard Star Wars story, the second tells a much more interesting story but isn't nearly as well polished.

I should have said added mechanics, more levels more powers and more play styles were available to the player than in the first game. That doesn't change gameplay much though it just enhances the already existing RPG mechanics and makes them a little better.

Although you could simply break the fucking game by playing a Sith Lord, you never needed anything else other than Lightning storm and force crush.

Last section of kotor2 feels so rushed. You collected all jedi mastets who are nothing but macguffins in different planets then the game ends abruptly after final boss fight with no epilogue showing the impact of your action
