Which JRPG franchise that in your opinion is the most consistent?
This is not a bait, just a normal discussion. Keep it polite.

Literally DQ. Its gameplay stagnated ages ago.

>those titties
What are they putting in the water in the DQ worlds?

Falcom games in general.
What do you mean by Jrpg?
I mean the best would be the Dq series since it's Jrpg in it's purest form.
But my favorite rpg from japan would be the EO series but they are more western wizardry like gameplay with the exception of physicals attackers having skills instead of just attacking
seriously so many game do this

It does come down to opinion for a lot of their games, but I'd say Ys peaked with Origin and Oath, with Celceta being a clear step backwards in quality. Ys V is also said to be quite terrible. I also liked TitS FC and SC more than 3rd and ToCS 1, but that's a bit harder to judge. 3rd wasn't really a normal game like FC and SC was and in ToCS 1's favor I felt it did improve the combat or customization options from TitS trilogy with the master quartz.
That's just a small selection of games from Falcom though so I can't judge their entirety.

This. The only thing that ever kinda changes between DQ games is the story and characters.

I agree regarding EO. Not sure if it qualifies as a jrpg though.

Dark Souls.

DQ gameplay is still valid at this point. With Final Fantasy always throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks, it's always a relief to know that DQ will always provide that really satisfying grind and a fun, whimsical fantasy story/world to immerse yourself in for several dozen hours

DQ killed its consistency by making MMORPGs.
