Persona 5 has all the same issue and ideas as persona 4, sonic mania is a bad copy of a 20+ year old game, nier is so boring everyone cares more about the robot ass than the actual game, nioh is LE DARK SOULS WITH LE SAMURAI, zelda has been ruined by open world, horizon is actual open world trash, yakuza 0 is the sixth (seventh?) With that said, yes, this year is pretty fucking good. D:OS2 comes out in a month, Odyssey later this year, we actually got a new Bomberman, the Switch wasn't a piece of garbage (outside of the whole Voice Communication shit and paid online). There's also the slight chance that Valve unfucks TF2 (to a certain extent). If Valve unfucks TF2 and Odyssey and D:OS2 are really good (which seems likely), this may surpass 07. The only things holding it back otherwise was the typical garbage E3 and PUBG being popular albeit being a buggy piece of garbage in EA.
