Conduit 2 is the most fun I've had playing multiplayer Vidya. Simply due to the fact that there was so much variety in how you could customise your character.

Smaw ruined the game though and once everyone started buying it the game was unplayable

This was legitimately one of the best shooters to come out in the past 5 years. It had a ridiculously high skill ceiling and actual unique weapons. The armor/weapon level up system is a really cool way to balance a game and make the pace of the game change as it got longer. The weapons overall were pretty balanced (it wasn't perfect, but nothing was grotesquely broken) and the maps were well designed. As well as the movement being fun.

I've played FPS games competitively before on organized teams, and I was totally ready to jump into this game to play tournaments. It was such a unique experience, but the developers fucked up hardcore.

The game literally does not exist anymore. I think you might be able to buy it steam still, but the servers don't exist, and you can't setup 3rd party servers anymore. This game dying was one of the biggest travesties to gaming that has happened in recent memory.

They did a few things that ultimately killed it off. They remade how the entire cosmetic system worked and didn't refund anyone for stuff they bought before. So that pissed a lot of people off. Then their servers went down inexplicably for like 6 months I think? They basically just said "Oh we're doing maintenance and restructuring our online servers, they'll back on This date." They came back up eventually, and then went down again. Then they added the ability for people to host their own servers, but connecting to them was a pain in the ass and scared off more people. Eventually these servers just stopped working for no reason and the developers ghosted everyone.

No one really knows why it got shutdown except the developers though, just a lot of rumors.

Beyond the Beyond. Developers went on to make Golden Sun, but everyone canned BtB. Was one of the first games I ever got to play and I loved it. Still upset that it never got a sequel since it just ends on a note of 'MC heads off to the underworld to find their dad" with no real closure.

And yet i used to be able to take on multiple opponents at once, and make so many plays against people with 5x my experience.
The loot was great, renting out skills was the best thing ever.
In a game all about K:D going 20:0 was just so much fun. never felt like roflstomping either, if you slipped up or got too aggressive or cocky you'd get punished within seconds.
