The worst thing is that the mechanics aren't even that bad (although there is too much W+M1), but they're made infinitely worse by the maps being fucking awful. The game would be a lot less spammy and generally more enjoyable if the maps were just more open, but for some reason they all force you into tiny fucking chokes all the time. It's bizarre.

If you've never played fps you'll probably like it. It's the easiest shooter out now but if you want to get good you'll have to take off the training wheels and play other games
