Assume the role of the protagonist

Second person game
Assume the role of whoever the protagonist is interacting with at the current time

Third person game
Assume the role of an entity that is "outside" following the protagonist as well as showcasing more than just the protagonist's view

Do you see why second person is impossible? To be the "second person" means you are the one that the person of interest is talking to. Like when someone addresses the readers, the reader is the "second person."

So like what? Mario is stepping get in the ground so we see view of the ground, then he hits an enemy so we see the view of the enemy.
I mean the camera has to be some where when there's no enemies. Lakitu is the third person and he's not interacting with Mario but the floor is.
