It's essentially shitty Viva Pinata. But the late game stuff to be relevant is so grind heavy it loses all fun there is to be had.

Playing Ark goes something like this

you can't win in these games unless you roll with a clan

You'll always be months behind pc for patches, it's horribly optimized on pc and instead of fixing bugs the devs are focused on adding more dinos, they just hiked up the price, they had to settle out of court after being sued by trendy for poaching devs which violated the non-compete clause of the lead devs contract when he quit trendy, the center which people praise as being made by one fan was actually made by the lead level designer on dungeon defenders(made by trendy) as a mod while the poaching lawsuit was going on and then he got hired once the legal drama was settled, it's early access with a fucking $20 expansion, truesky still isn't fixed and it's been in the upcoming patch notes since day 1
