It is incredibly polished for an Early Access title, and it has only improved since I bought it. I used to get frequent crashing, but that has since been resolved. Its okay on its own but with friends it really shines. Even just a duo is fun but you can play with up to 3 other people and it's hella crazy then.

Also, considering it's the only decent BR game, it'll last for a bit (but maybe not too long). It's always getting updates and new maps will prolong the lifespan as well. For now, it's nothing but rising.

I actually enjoy it, every game is really tense 99% of the time. Oh, and getting kills feels like an accomplishment instead of something that's easy to do.

A game doesn't need an official ranked competitive mode to be competitive. The game is competitive by default, the entire game is built around beating everyone else. You don't need ranked matchmaking for a game to be competitive, all you need is a competitive game mode and players who take it seriously. Just look at games in the past, like Quake, Dota (the mod), or CS 1.6.

I'd say I want this "it's not competitive meme" to end, but it's actually really helpful for identifying underage casuals.
