Let me explain in great detail why this game has THE worst community.

This "community" are the tournament "winners" who do nothing but post "exposed" videos of other winners, while maintaining that they never cheat.

I haven't played Dead By Daylight that much (maybe like 20 hours total) but I definitely saw that when I came back recently. I got it when it first came out and it was fine, but when I came back everyone was telling me to kill myself for "camping" and that I was a shitty killer despite usually getting 3/4 or 4/4 even with far fewer perks. I feel like camping a survivor is a perfectly valid strategy because it either lets me get a kill, or baits the survivors into trying to rescue them so I can wound/hook more people. Especially as the Wraith or Trapper with the perk that lets you go invisible when you stand still.

The approved way to play DbD is to hook one survivor, immediately walk to the opposite side of the map until they have rescued the survivor and hit a generator, at which point you may reenter the game. The problem with this (and the end devs are fucking oblivious to this I guess) is that it ruins the game for one person, both in ranking points and gameplay fun. Plus any experienced survivor team will realize you are camping and pop 3 gens while you do so, meaning the camper has chosen to lose the game for himself and one survivor.

It's like in hots or lol, when someone realizes a streamer is on the opposite team, they spend all match diving against that guy, losing in the process, just to ruin his game. It's that but with the blessing of the Dbd devs, which is why it rages survivors so hard.
