It was shit. The movement was so sloppy that it was practically impossible to tip toe around guards. The fact that you could never be within 12m of a guard before being spotted removed all the extreme proximity situations of the earlier games. It was a fucking shooter cover shooter, not a stealth game.

I wasn't talking about noise. Unlike every other game, including Conviction, guards will always autodetect you if you are within 12m and they are facing you. Doesn't matter if you're in a semi dark room or at the bottom of a mine. There is no true darkness in the game. Furthermore, the movement is not precise. Sam looks smooth as he sulks about, but you cannot stop him from taking that extra step and bumping a guard or moving into their line of vision. The adaptive parkor is pointless. It serves to make you leap over cover to your death more than it helps you stay alive. Then there's the guards that are fully armored. They are just annoying. Armor provides protection from bullets. Guards used armor in the previous games. But it never turned humans into fucking terminators that don't flinch when shot and can repel all frontal CQC.

Why are you guys hating Blacklist? I thought that was the shit, not as good as 1-3 tho

Chaos Theory is the greatest stealth game ever made and I'm a raging Metal Gear fan boy. Metal Gear had a better story and boss battles but choas theory had great stealth mechanics and controls

The lights are not there, they are visualized for the player to see Sam in the shadows. If you want to play it without that, play Conviction, because of the Shadows the game is 80% of the time in black and white.
