Well but ds2 actually punishes you for overleveling by giving you higher leveld invaders. I like to fix my chars soul memory with rings as soon as I hit a decent sweet spot of level. If you have to level up to surpass some area you are just in heavy need of GETTING GUD

I see you didn't play dark souls 1.

This is actually the most serious problem the game has. As good as it is, the difficulty is really wonky because of how leveling/upgrading works and there's no real way to jump into a new game with a new build and get a decent challenge without deliberately holding yourself back in some arbitrary way.

not OP, but Furi, you can't level up, you have your entire arsenal and move set from the get go and you literally just have to get good to beat the game.

also, when you play on furier difficulty, the game doesn't increase boss damage or health, no, you and bosses do the same damage, have the same health as the furi difficulty. But bosses now have more varied and mixed movesets, harder to avoid or dodge, they're also faster when it comes to melee range.

don't get me wrong, I love all soulsborne games, it's just that, the first one is always the hardest experience, once you know what you're doing, they become drastically easier.
