When I turn this on, what can I expect?
Will it work?game is factorio and i still suck after 15 hours
well i would tell you OP, except i'm worse at factorio than you are

Prove it
>>387194042
>>387193629
you missed a belt
>>387194572
in fact youd have to tweak that a little bit to get the gears and chips on their own sides, the chips will come in on the top side
>>387194572
I actually removed that on purpose but did forget it before the screenshot.
It's for some material I already forgot. When I turn it on an inserter is going to start grabbing stuff and sending it down. If I didn't the splitter would just fill it with iron plates.
Which also may be my flaw.
>>387194679
annnnnd thanks. prolly where it'll fail.
done for tonight though.

Just lose the splitter all together and put belts facing this way
>Get drones up and running
>Have drones producing drones
>Decide to refurbish everything but I don't want to break every single part myself
>Realize I can tell my infinite drones to do it
>Mass designate everything to be dismantled
>The first thing they dismantle is the power lines so they can't recharge
>>387195039
I like using the portable pack and drones to do my destruction. Great for clearing forests in combination with the flamethrower
>>387195170
It was the first time using drones so I've yet to really find that sweet spot with them, but that's the fun with these games sometimes.
Learning from when things go incredibly wrong.
>tfw 80 hours and still shit
I always get to a point where I feel like I've lost control of my factory
>>387193629
So how do you win at this game?
>>387195394
build a spaceship. Its like science victory in civ, except all science and production.
>>387195039
>Can't move resources fast enough
>Need drones to move resources faster
>More drones draw more power
>Can't produce enough power because can't move resources fast enough
you are like a little baby watch this
>>387195327
Took me 200 hours to launch a rocket. Just keep going and learn from your mistakes
>>387195768
Your puny factory amuses me
>>387196178Please don't bully me I only have 20 hours in game so far.
>>387196476
You'll get there eventually, it took me like 5 20+ hour fucked up factories to finally get it right. You learn eventually that you really gotta plan shit out the moment you start, otherwise things eventually get dicey. This one was a full 60+ hour run to finally get to the end, and I feel like I barely made it.
But yeah shit's a lot of fun once you start learning what works.
>>387196819
You dont necessarily have to. But it is a huge pain in the ass having to do remodelling on a working factory because the layout has reached its limit. I have started over many factories that could have been salvaged just from laziness
>>387197049
True, it can just be a significant waste of resources you might not have to remodel a decent sized factory. And once you get into the later game, wasting shit tons of iron and copper can come back to bite you
>>387197216
Why not just expand your factory even further?
>>387197469
It's difficult to expand a Factory to get new resources when you don't have any resources left you expand with
>>387193629
>Will it work?
If you listen to >>387194902 yes.
The Assembler ratios are all wrong though. Having more Assemblers doesn't hurt, but they won't produce anything unless you take from the Production Line.
>Transport Belts 1:24 Science Pack 2
>Inserter 1:12 Science Pack 2
>Electronic Circuit 1:1 Inserter
>Copper Cables 3:2 Electronic Circuit
>>387196178
>that Solar Panel/Accumulator setup
lmao clean up your mess
>>387197725
For a while I was just stuffing solar panels wherever they'd fit, I really don't need them now that I'm on Nuclear, just haven't bothered to get rid of them
