I mained the threaded cane throughout the game and never had any issues with bosses.

The weapon range and the fact it takes very little stamina to use always gave me room to maneuver around and fight on my own terms.

I think most people that complain these bosses were hard used heavy slow-hitting weapons which leave you open more and drain more stamina as well.

I really don't know how people have trouble with the second phase. Any strength weapon staggers him, and he's able to be visceraled every 3-4 hits. Not to mention that he's way less agressive and slower. Only problem is the one shot move he does that can fuck you up if you have bad positioning, but that's about it.

not if you do shit damage to him because you're low level. Then it takes many many hits to stagger him. At low level you can rely on serration to help you with damage on his first phase (you should be doing like 120-150 a hit) but in his second he is no longer a beast. Your only safe opportunities to hit him are odd pokes between swings and when he is exhausted from doing his chopping combo, otherwise he is basically always on the attack with odd-timed sword swings and combos. And almost every swing from his sword hurts more than his scratches ever did as a beast.

I mean they died long time ago and their "souls" or something like that are trapped inside The Hunter's Nightmare?
For example Laurence, the First Vicar died long time ago as a beast (you can see his skull in the main game), Maria killed herself and so on.
Also the DLC as no logical conection between places but it makes sence if you see it as memories about something.

I had lots of problems with every dlc boss but failures and Orphan for some reason, and Orphan is the hardest humanoid boss in the game, i think maria's weird delayed attacks were what killed me, same with ludwig, i can easily destroy his first phase but the second one still fucks me up to this day.
