I've played it for 80 or more hours with friends. It's real fun that you can take an objective from any angle. I am at least happy they continue to patch it. I might get the Season pass eventually.

I played the game at a friend's house for like 2 or 3 hours. I enjoyed it but I can see people's issue with it regarding the repetitive aspect. I was disappointed they force you to either play with AI or friends. The AI is dumb as fuck. I'm still on the fence on whether to get it or not.

here it is, its a bit hard to see the second guy when Im killing the first one but he is there in the same spot when I kill him after. They are invisible because they are the dlc guys.

But yeah, this sort of ai reaction is the common here, and this is in the hardest difficulty.

It's fucking huge. One of the biggest ones i ever seen. if you like thise wide stuff to explore and see comfy places while driving/flying off/walking around it's great. doing some side stuff as well is fine, and working around in a tactical way around outposts still never getting old even 80 hours in


Nothing special, could have been better if they even added some shit from far cry like predators and some other shit.

I absolutely hate higher difficulties, which I experienced through Tier 1. It's impossible to engage an enemy normally because they kill you faster than you can kill them. The absolute worst is the Unidad. They are hard to kill and kill you in a nanosecond, and whenever you attempt a stealth approach their vehicles appear out of nowhere to kill you and ruin your infiltration attempt.
The game isn't really hard anyway, on higher difficulties you just have to spam rebel reinforcements and commandeer your teammates through the drone to have them kill everybody for you.

I got the 5-hour free trial on the Xbone because I remembered seeing some pretty vistas.

I really liked the character animation when they move, setting up an assault on an enemy base by scouting and stealthing, the weapon customization porn, and the plot set-up for the takedown of the cartel (including the contradictions made when supporting communist rebels).
I seriously considered shelling out the 60$ for it, but then I checked some reviews from people I trust and changed my mind.

The witty dialogue you hear from your teammates at the beginning end up being sporadic, repetitive and random, leading to stale characterization at best and none at worst. There's no extra development on the contradictions of American exceptionalism and jingoism, aside from a predictable ending. The combat becomes stale because of repetitive but necessary side-missions. Wonky AI that ends up playing to the game's significant weaknesses.
All in all, a game with incredible potential that sadly squanders it.


I'll buy this game later, for sure, when it's maybe 75% off. Otherwise, I can wait.

Unidad bases are the worst because once they build up "stars", you will be hounded by infinite soldiers and attack helicopters. It's immersion breaking in the sense that Unidad are under control of the cartel, but beat them in every fire fight.

At the highest difficulty, if you whiff a shot, they know where you are and insta alert the base. If it's unidad, you have to restart. If it's Cartel, its more forgivable.

I beat most of the game solo. On the higher difficulties you definitely have to invest in rebel support and micro manage your AI. If I get engaged order them to fire and send them ahead of you.

The "better with friends" is a meme invented by /v/. I played the beta for almost 60 hours and as soon one of your teammates get spotted, the AI instantly knows where all the online members are, so the game turns into a shooter pretty quickly.

Solo you can at least immerse yourself and try to stealth every area. Not even car chases feel better online because both the AI and online players just spray and pray towards the enemy vehicles.

My biggest gripes with the game are the fact that the enemy bodies disappear two minutes after you killed them, it should've had body carrying mechanics just like Blacklist and force the players to hide the bodies and the fact that while using a vehicle the player can't control where the AI shoots, would be cool if you could control their sight and aim at the tires or engine instead of just shooting at vehicle till it explodes. And the lack of lethal/non-lethal takedown selection.

this. helicopters circling above you, snipers and heavies with precision accuracy, motars and grenades flushing you out of cover. Two star UNIDAD was enough to give me a headache yet alone 3 or 4 not to mention they have AA guns and Jamming signals. Never was i so pinned down in a vidya game during a convoy raid i had to crawl from one vehicle to another just to find cover.

I wish they could add RPGs or some sort of rocket launchers and guard dogs in the game

agree. the AI never misses aiming when comes to sync shots while 7 out of 10 times "stealth" option isnt exactly reliable with my friends so i would say there are 2 kind of experiences to this game so "better with friends" might not be appropriate

Yea the bodies was one of the main issue i had too, it just seems to disappear even in hardest difficulty. Such a immersion breaker and makes things helluva easier. The patrolling enemies doesnt even see the blood pool on the floor after the body magically dissapeared
