Honestly, I've never really done a crazy challenge really. The biggest self-imposed thing I've ever done is pacifism in games like Dishonored, Metal Gear Solid 3, Deus Ex Human Revolution.

Played a single player Sorceress through all three difficulties in Diablo 2 LoD without spending any stat- or skillpoints.
Since there was no way of doing decent damage with spells she was mostly a melee character.
Hell Diablo was actually harder to get past than the Ancients. Hadn't expected that.

Dead Space 2 Hardcore Mode is the only one I've done. DS3's Hardcore was easier since you could cheese through it by backing up save files.

Basically a non-lethal run of Dishonored where I wasn't allowed to get spotted or use any ability besides the basic blink

The first one that comes to mind is what I nicknamed the Dead Rising 1 Psychopath playthrough. You have to complete the story with the best ending AND find every survivor. But you have to murder ever single survivor with a restricted inventory (only can use one kind of weapon and healing item the entire time).

Knife-only, no saving, hard mode run with jill in REmake

In ocarina of time, there was a famous glitch where you could lift the left side of the cartridge and clip through things.
I used this to get past mido without the sword and shield.
I beat the entirety of the game with 3 hearts, one bottle, and as few items as I could possibly get. I had 0 continues, no kokiri sword, no lens of truth, etc. Getting through the desert was a huge pain in the ass.

Out of boredom I would do no-kill runs in Mario games. I'm certain I've beaten Super Mario Land with only killing the enemies you have to beat to pass.

Holy shit that sounds like hell

I've been doing a Crossbow only run in Dark Souls 2, all bosses. Beating Jester Thomas was hell and I eventually had to resort to pushing him off a cliff because I couldn't damage him faster than he could heal. I still don't know how i'm gonna beat Graverobber, Varg and Cerah.

Hardest thing I've ever done was MGS3 on EE with no alerts/no kills. Honestly wasn't too bad except for the boss fights against The Fury and Volgin. I was stuck on those for a couple days each. I'd like to try a Foxhound run but I'm nowhere near good enough to beat it fast enough.

I don't do self imposed challenges of games often but, I did do a SL 1 Playthrough of Dark Souls 1. Was a good time.

no, you can kill the anything without it but its hella annoying

the knights take like 20 hits to their armor before it falls, because u cant get around them
alternatively you can hurricane spin attack, but if you spin too close to them they copy you and it wont work

same deal with ganon but he blocks u like 90% of the time

the most annoying thing without z-locking was that boss with the two hands you had to shoot at with ur bow, you know how hard it is to hit a moving target that hits back at you, oy

Whenever I make a new character in Dark Souls (any of them) I make it a point to try and make it as far as possible in embered form without resting at a bonfire. I'll light them in case I die, but don't sit down.

My record is managing to clear all the way up to unlocking the doors to fight the Abyss Watchers. I was then gangbanged by an invader and one of those skeleton dark guys.
