It's light and day. I could never go back to vanilla skyrim, oblivion or morrowind having played all three of them heavily modded.

Oblivion was my first TES game and I played through it entirely on PS3 which in retrospect sounds like torture but I loved it at the time. I played Morrowind next because Skyrim wasn't even announced yet, and I liked it way better. I didn't even bother with skyrim until way after it's release because it looked like trash and I was right. I can't play Oblivion or Skyrim without a ton of mods now, whereas I still play Morrowind practically vanilla (just with MGE so I can see further than five feet in front of me)

Oblivion was my first TES game and it was my favourite until I played Morrowind.

Oblivion had a couple of decent sidequests but the rest of the game is a fucking mess.

I don't know about the 360 but on the PS3 you only have 2 DLCs, Shivering Island and Knights of the Nine, all the other DLCs are missing from both the store and the GOTY version of the game. Also, there's a game breaking glitch on the game that you can't cure vampirism. Not sure if that's better than the 360.

If you logged in enough hours, your save would become a lot larger and stuff would take a lot longer to load. I'm talking 10-15 fps in extreme cases.

At least, this was the case a year or two after it came out. I guess they patched it by now.

I liked Oblivion, it's not great but it's pretty comfy with the right mods.

Combat is still kind of broken even with Deadly Reflex+Unnecessary Violence mods and the writing is kind of meh outside some quests, but that's kind of given when it's hardcoded into the game.

I really enjoyed breaking into people's homes (however I usually give myself the skeleton key at the start and force the locks to unlock them because the vanilla minigame is awfully boring), I really liked the quests in the Thieves Guild and the dungeoncrawling (shame there is like only 10 different layouts for non-quest dungeons).

Oblivion is no means a bad TES game nor the greatest TES game.

These games are really shitty and makes me nauseous. The graphics are pure garbage and that's not even from a technical standpoint but rather in a aesthetic and artistic way, Skyrim seems to be the least shitty one but only to a certain extent, that game is utterly ugly as well. The gameplay in each one of these games is shallow, empty, uninspiring and most importantly BORING. The story is cringeworthy and the quests are thrash save for a couple ones in Oblivion. The worst part of these games obviously is the fanbase, one of the worst fanbases I've ever seen, it's really up there along with sonic and pokemon. I have yet to see a normal human bean playing and enjoying these games, it's usually fat neckbeards and retarded reddit casuals who enjoy this shit and usually for the worst reasons, they like to roleplay in this childish world and pretend they are actually playing a video game and not a flashy walking simulator with shitty and repetitive attractions. Fuck this game, fuck the jewish company that makes these games and above all fuck the people who enable this kind of shit to exist. Did you buy Skyrim for the seventh time this year yet?
