A combination of Splinter Cell when it was good, and what the ideal Catwoman game would be. If anyone has played that recent game called Styx: Shards of Darkness then it's a lot like that but not as open.

https://archive.is/Bgzse

What you see here is a fantastic coop puzzle shooter (can be played in both first person you can see your feet and third). Imagine a futuristic gritty jetsons where humanity has built itself into the sky, and you have to go lower and lower as the ruins get more and more grotesque. Not much is known about this game other than it was created by Core Design the people behind Tomb Raider 1 and 2. Now I'm not too sure about the PC version but the ps2 version is worth it alone for the coop. This is one of the funnest coop experiences I've had in a long time. The puzzles and large levels will have you scratching your brain for hours. I cannot recommend this game enough. If any of these games deserve priority in your backlog, it's this game play first person for maximum effect, remember to click left analog stick.

It's the all time winner for worst English voice acting ever. Thankfully there's a Japanese voice track selection in game, I thing. Otherwise it's an okay game. The original Game Stop exclusive for $20, if that says anything.

Criminally underrated, fun level design, fun bosses, and great humor. I discovered this game via a Pizza Hut demo disk for the PS1, I played many hours on that one demo disk that featured 3 levels. I remember vividly begging my parents to find the full version of the game to no luck. One time I saw the third game in a Target catalogue, a year or two has passed and I saw the third game at Gamestop luckily I was at Gamestop for having good grades so of course I got it. This game has brought me years of fun (so did the second game) that every once in awhile I will replay either 2 or 3. I hate how sony hasn't gone a thing with the franchise.

This game was the epitome of sports games, and was ultimately part of the generation before the generation that ended good sports games.

Someone should make a page with all these actual good recommendations(including with game cover and some info or link to wiki pages or whatever).
Almost every single suggested game in this thread never appears in any "hidden gems/best undiscovered games" for PS2 you can find online, and all of these are better than the ones found in those lists.

Tank controls that were shit compared to other tank controls even back in the day. But boy is it a unique experience and does it look pretty as fuck on real hardware. Most games had prerendered backgrounds, FE games had prerendered FMVs for backgrounds instead. Everything is in lush movement and loops. 4 discs tho.

How is that different than games like the various FF for the PS1 which also had animated BG?

FF had more or less simple gifs that had two or three frames. This was actual full motion video, far more detailed and smooth.
And whereas FF had those once in 50 areas, here its far more present and it makes the game's aesthetic.
>>
>>387153948
More good co-op

Champions of Norrath and Champions Return to arms. Quite like the Baldurs Gate games.

Obscure was pretty good too, horror game in a highschool, not very scary at all but one of the comfiest teamwork I played back then.

>>387153754
I ordered this one but it's not going arrive until Saturday. The multiple endings, helping people in the disaster and funny dialog choices influenced my interest. Most of the reviews are positive. Kinda wish the first game wasn't expensive to get.
>>387153948
I played maximo earlier this summer but gave up after the 2nd world with the swaps. 2-2 and 2-3 were way too brutal and I don't have enough lives to progress with getting a gameover. Spending 100 coins just to save is total bullshit. I wish 10,000 bullets had a NA release.

It seems like a slow paced chill game with puzzels and simple combat, seems pretty unique so maybe its worth looking into
