Too bad it's going to be wasted on this game. I have no hope for it so far, the character designs are fucking terrible compared to XC1, or hell even XCX. The dub sounds fucking bad so far too, with the main character not showing any of the emotion Adam Howden did for Shulk. The artstyle somehow made worse potato faces than XCX, and the framerate looks god-awful.

300 musicians won't make things better by default, the people from MONACA get praised all the time for their soundtracks and the team is composed of 15 people, and most of the time their soundtracks don't even use them all, hell, sometimes it's Keichi Okabe alone with other 3 people taking care of sampling and recording.

I love X's soundtrack but Sawano is too distinct to mingle his tracks with those of someone like Mitsuda. It's way better if they keep him out of this and let him return as the main and/or only composer of X2 whenever they make it.

No, even though he made amazing tracks in XCX (Noctilum is too fucking good) he also did a lot shitty decisions in it.
Sound design also garbage and the fact that ost wasn't made around looping itself flawlessy didn't help it. He sould stay away from video games.

while this is true a lot more went into it than just those two things. The sound designer did all sorts of crazy shit to get the heavy effect, including making use of soviet era synths

It's not entirely his, but he's not completely innocent in the matter either. He suggested the vocal tracks in cutscenes and like I said the tracks dln't leave much room for it to loop back.

Dunban was a character design recycled for the second time, and they recycled him again in X. Honestly I'll be surprised if they don't have a not-Citan in 2.
