I've met my minimum goal for my summer vacation. Beat Disgaea 1 and 2 story mode. Especially considering it took me three tries to even get into the series, but now I consider myself a fan.

Look, unless you picked some shitty degree like women's studies, there are a ton of internships and part time jobs you can take relevant to your degree that gets you money and experience. Shit, as long as you scored above a 26 on the ACT and stayed in state for my state, you got 4 years of tuition free, plus since my parents are dirt poor, I got federal loans out the ass, plus tons of scholarships for a pretty decent score on the ACT. I was literally getting paid an extra $5,000 a semester after paying for housing and meal plans and all that bullshit before I even started working. And as long as you don't fall for the meme community college, and you aren't fucking stupid, you'll have plenty of professors that are looking for students to work under them if you just ask around.

Yeah, it really sets you apart from the other people if you have 3 years of experience working in the field, especially if you're in the sciences and can manage to do enough meaningful work for the professor that can get your name on a paper or two. There is a place in my hometown that does military cyber security that offers people part time jobs while helping pay tuition after they transfer out of the community college right by the air force base, which is pretty cool.
