The problem is they don't release fun cards anymore.
We have not had a card like renounce darkness (replaces your entire deck with random class cards that cost 1 less) in forever. You would never make it past rank 10 with that kind of deck but it sure was fun to play.

If cards from your opponents deck were bad then card like Crystalline Oracle, Curious Glimmer Root and Drakonid Operative wouldn't be used, but they are.

Priests entire play style generally floats a lot of mana because oh how niche their cards generally work. Priest work by either making a big impact with cheap removal and powerful combos, followed by a decent body minion, or they have no option and literally do nothing.

What taking cards from your opponents deck, allows Priest to have more options with potentially powerful cards, or by getting unpredictable cards that can at least slow your opponent till you get your answer cards.

Also, when your playing in higher ranks (rank 8+), there are very, very few cards you can pull that are actually bad as the best decks don't run bad cards.

There are no playable demon taunts either other than voidwalkers.

Yep. You buy campaigns, and beat them to unlock specific legendary and class cards.

You can play multiplayer without buying all the solo adventures, but you are at a pretty good disadvantage.

Don't care. Behind Druid and Innervate, Warlock's Life Tap gives them far to much flexibility in their deck because they don't have to use card draw but can instead replace it with far more efficient heal cards.

This was why Reno Lock was so powerful, because they didn't have to give a fuck about how many cards they drew because Reno would just heal them to full. So when you can replace pretty much all healing in your deck with a single card, it leaves you with 4-5 additional card slots to fill with powerful minions and removal.

In the entire history of Hearthstone, since the beta till now, Druid has had the most tier 1/2 decks through out all season. Theirs only been like 3-4 seasons (out of 40+) that Druid hasn't a top tier deck in, even after the nerf to Force of Nature.

Druid's flexibility in "Choose One" cards, Innervate to make huge tempo swings and now Fandral Staghelm (I also believe Swipe is the most mana efficient removal card in the game, but that's just mpo), means that Druids have an answer in 90% of scenarios, while maintaining decent card draw and minions on the board.
