The time travel is clearly an afterthought and is never explained in the slightest, nor is anything interesting done with it in the gameplay to narrative. The true crux of the stroy is the relationship between Max and Chloe, whihc would be fine, if not for their relationship being shallow, underdeveloped and unengaging. It may as well not be a game because in addition to the time travel mechanic being wasted, choices don't matter, there's no branching dialogue paths and no good puzzles. It fails on what it clearly put the most effort into with its writing because of the poorly written relationship at the center of the story, in addition to the horrible dialogue that sounds horribly out of touch, and it also fails as a game because it never does anything that takes advantage of the medium.

Nobody cared about them anyway. The three things that saved this game and attracted people's attentions are; its OSTs, atmosphere,two major characters' being in lesbians with each other indepenant of your actions.

It's surprisingly alright until the once again the same mistake of making the last choice the only truly important one, as well as making the most logical choice the "wrong" one.

The only reason to use a guide is to get all the optional photos in the game, and that's it.

I honestly think it's not great. I like some of the side characters but couldn't stand the two main characters. I would say try it if you can get it cheap, you might like it or absolutely hate it.

These. The game has some residual charm thanks to that OST and atmosphere, but it is not worth playing. The use of time travel is downright pathetic and makes that binary choice that could've had some emotional weight feel totally contrived and unearned.
