What good would it do? Yeah, Phoenix Wright would know, but that wouldn't exactly prove anything to anyone else, especially the Judge.

A better question is why Wright feels he always has to solve the murder, find out the one who did it. Can't he be happy simply getting his client acquitted?

Didn't work with Matt Engade because he hired Shelly DeKiller so technically Matt himself didn't directly commit a murder.

Also didn't work with Kristophy Gavin because he had the Black Psychelockes which basically means that he fully convinced and deluded himself into believing he was not wrong. Same shit happened with Athena albeit in reverse: she was fully deluded into believig she killed her mother when that was not actually what happened.

Using the Psychelocks as a lie detector isn't fullproof because suspects can use literal mental gymnastics to get around it.

This case would have been so great if they didn't push the phantom nonsense. I loved the confrontation with Edgeworth too but God damn did it jump the shark in the later part.
