X was my first impression and ill never touch the final fantasy series again because of it. It lowered my opinion of JRPGs as a genre immensely. Fuck final fantasy 10, its genuinely one of the most garbage games ive ever played.

I don't know why people are nostalgic for this game. It's when Final Fantasy became bad beyond saving. Every area is blatantly a hallway, cutscenes everywhere for the most trivial shit, god awful characters, awful dialog, a story where characters seem to develop relationships off screen and you just have to roll with it. It's like the game is just running from set piece to set piece so they can jump the story ahead in another illogical way. Oh, Tidus is suddenly in love with Yuna now. Blitzball sucks. Think about things this way. He is a sports super star who's father was also a super star, living in the life of luxury, and who has problems with his father's legacy in the first place. You would be a whiny prat too if you were thrust into this other world and kept getting the short end of the stick after living like a king.
