My back starts to hurt and I know for a fucking fact that the chair is the issue. Any reccomendations for good chairs?

>>
It doesn't matter how good your chair is if you have shit posture and a weak back
>>

Quality cost but it's worth it. Try to find one on craigslist or whatever it is you kids use nowadays.
>>
>>386986876
This. Just sitting a lot is bad for you, no matter what chair you use.

I recommend doing back exercises. Maybe considering doing some yoga.

Start lifting.

yeah because it's not like people who stand all day have swollen knees, collapsed arches, and a different set of chronically sore and shortened muscles

It's kinda weird to look at it because I'm used to use a chair. Is it even comfortable playing vidya like that?

I blew out my knee in high school football and it hurts to stand for long periods. What do?

Hey you really should get a proper chair AND do some at home core/back exercises to eliminate any weakNess in your back.

A proper ergonomic chair is really expensive. Just get a plastic lawn chair and sit up straight.

Sitting too much is terrible for you. It's really that simple. Your posture becomes shit, your back and neck hurt, you deprive your legs and stomach of exercise. Start getting more exercise and squatting instead of sitting whenever possible.
Ideally, stop playing video games entirely.

>>386990445

I don't really play vidya as much but I also just browse/shitpost everywhere and don't really have anything to do where I live.

It's for back pain but it's actually helping if you don't want to move, I guess.
>>
>>386986543
just get your fat ass a chair cushion, sit up straight and align the chair properly with your desk. OR the better way to do it is to get a standing desk and just stand whenever you use your PC as it's much healthier than sitting on your ass all day. You'll get used to standing real quick.

>not sitting on the floor

How fat do you have to be to have swollen knees from standing? I lost 150 pounds working in construction, basically standing all day and doing manual labor, and I never had knee problems. Same when I worked in retail, standing all day while being overweight.

Are ergonomic chairs worth it?
I'm currently using an expensive "boss chair" and it's a total piece of shit that falls apart a year in.
Considering an ergonomic chair now, but can't decide how expensive it should be.
>>
>>386997086

this conversation seems pointless. the only 'healthy' option is a balance of sitting, standing and moving. But this isnt an option for people in this world. If you're a truck driver, you're sitting all day. If you're a teacher, you're probably standing most of the day. There is no way to reverse "damage" from too much sitting or standing. There isnt anything you can do about it except hope we have better options for treating our bodies when our time comes.

Don't fall for the LE GAMEING CHAIR meme, try to get a therapeutic chair for cheap somewhere. There are guides online on how to differentiate a decent one from a garbage one online.

My back hurt as hell from my chair at work, it ceased the moment I changed it to one with its back having a rigid unmoving connection to the seat.

I fell for the gaming chair meme but this chair is unironically really good for my back with that little pillow thing for lumbar support. The back also leans back super far to the point where I can almost lay in it if I really feel like lounging but still keep good posture. The head pillow is bad for you though. It makes your head lean forward which is bad for your back for too long.
>>
>>387002595
It's like razer products. It works, but it's overpriced compared to lesser brands which work just fine.
>>
>>387002760
I guess so. I don't know of any other chairs that have a back that goes as far back as those though, off the top of my head.
>>

Wanna fix that? Find out your calorie requirements and go five hundred under that. Actually count, don't just eyeball it, you fatsos are notoriously bad at that. Another protip: Never drink your calories
Wanna fix it faster? Eat only 1600 kcal a day, no cheat days EVER

My neck starts to hurt regardless of the chair. My sitting posture naturally becomes such that I can't play for more than 10 hours in a row. Shit sucks.

Maybe if all the comfortable chairs weren't made from leather it wouldn't be as bad as I wouldn't get sweaty when resting my neck. Unfortunately, I've yet to find decent chairs that aren't leather.
>>
>>386989196
It isn't. Standing desks are a meme for the vast majority of users that get them.
