3 is much closer to 1 than 2, and it has some really neat stuff and great bosses. It's not as good as 1 but it's still definitely worth playing if you're at all a fan of the series

it's a superior game mechanically to 1 and 2 but a bit lacking in creativity for level design and atmosphere
some of the bosses in das3 are among the best that From has ever come up with

Never listen to someone telling you that DS2 is the best in the series, they obviously have brain damage and suffer from a serious case of shitaste


DS3 is fine, best bosses in the series. Make sure that you also play the DLCs, Ringed City is great

If you are fine with it a game that peaks after one playthrough then sure. There's nothing obviously wrong with it but there's really nothing to it once you've skimmed the surface.

It is easy to create a thread with massive amounts of replies by superimposing a ranking on the souls series because they are all popular and relatively good but also all flawed with the direct sequels being the bottom of the barrel. DaS3 is currently the favorite lead in to one of these bait threads because it is the most recent one and starting off with DaS2 contrarianism isn't quite as popular anymore after a certain video fell into obsolescence.
