If she does appear again, I'd like to see an evolution of what this character was intended to be. While giving her a recurring side role would at least satisfy most fans of 64's approach, I suspect the point of Adeleine's role in 64 was to evolve her as a character from Dream Land 3. Yet whatever happened to the director and the studio afterwards (though I also blame the anime) caused her to fall of the grid and become irrelevant. If they're going to bring her back, I don't think they should just bring her in for fanservice's sake like they've done for the last couple of games. They should consider what her relevancy has been through and make sure it doesn't happen again.

The newer games (except PR) had gimmicks that are huge pace breakers, especially in the case of Triple Deluxe in which the hypernova segments were unskippable. They looked cool, but the puzzles of "attack thing marked with star" or suck/blow at the right time were uninteresting for the most part. PR's robobot level design became much greater due to the Robobot feeling more so like new ability rather than an shoehorned gimmick. Robobot sections felt like an actual part of levels rather than their own isolated gimmick areas like in RtD and TD.
In terms of boss fights, modern kirby has more resources and more fleshed out abilities, so combat stays varied and bosses can be flashy. Older Kirby games had 1 trick-pony abilities and less resources, so bosses had to be simple.

When my D&D group and I played Return to Dream Land, we got stuck in that one room in Onion Ocean where you have to grab a key before it falls and disappears or something and use it to unlock a gate for a sphere. Our DM refused to let us have that key and managed to stop us for like 45 minutes. It was the most fun experience I ever had with that game.

I disagree, the level design was never really bad in the older ones but it was never much of note either and it was always the boss fights and powers that were of interest

That's why PR is weak, most of its fights and powers are recycled to an extent, with its final gauntlet in the main story being Meta Knight remix -> Suzie remix -> mediocre Star Fox being unforgivable

Well obviously I'm meaning the only unique part of the battle to True Arena if you couldn't pick up on that. They're called the same thing and it's never called Heart of Nova in game regardless, the OS isn't Nova despite being colored like it.
It isn't insta-death. It deals 7/8ths of Kirby's life bar. Still better than Sectonia Soul.

The death nuke is ridiculously easy to avoid. The only people that died to it either just put the game down because they thought it was over or used Stone/Archer's invincibility expecting to live.

They're not hypnotizing glasses, they're see through glasses you get through your local newspapers.
Totally forgot about how awesome "Kirby + Kirby" was. Definitely has some Blue Brothers inspiration, though it's not surprising knowing the composer's previous work. And Infiltrate the Junk Factory is probably my favorite end level music from the franchise. It sounds so somber and end of the world like, with television sets place throughout the background.

Also forgot to mention that Shogo Sakai really do love to make references to the Kirby anime musical cues. I'm really glad for those kind of little nods.
