Have you ever finished a game, and it was so good that you immediately started another playthrough?
>>386965968
no, that's autistic
Wonder Boy the Dragon's Trap.
It was short too so it was double good.
I never EVER finished a game twice, and never went to NG+.
Replaying is for autistic faggots, or poor people that had the stupid idea of buying a console while being poor. There's too much games out there to waste your time playing something you already played.
im not autistic

All the Souls games, but Dark Souls got the most replays out of me. The first half is the best part, it doesn't feel like a chore to go through like in most games.
Resident Evil 4 to search for secrets
Divinity Original Sin to try out new builds.

Rabi-ribi.
I fucking love that game.

I did this with Tales of Symphonia on Gamecube, but I can't quite remember why. I enjoyed it, but I don't think of it as one of my favorite games or anything.
Didn't even turn the console off. Just watched the credits and went for "New Game" immediately.
Nope.
I honestly can't remember the last singleplayer game I completed more than once. I always get bored and quit a few hours in because I know exactly what's up ahead. I've beat all the Dark Souls games and Bloodborne 2-6 times each, but that's because I'm a PvP minmax autist.
>>386966637
One of the few games where I wanted to get perfect score for everything.

Most important thing: don't do anything you're not prepared for. Overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer.
>>386965968
The Binding of Isaac
>>386965968
No, but it's more because I like to reflect on something when I finish it rather than just starting it over again.
>>386967383
Did you just poke around until you got a feel for what's possible and what's not? I tried doing some rank 3 quests and nearly got slaughtered, but luckily I know when to retreat.

lmfao is just a videogame
Most recently I did this with P5.

Prey and Resident Evil 4

Yeah, but if I sort out why I did or did not like it then when I do replay it I can look at it from a different perspective and get a different experience out of it.
its pretty autistic, but i adamantly refused to beat lord gwyn in dark souls for at least 400 hours (probably 10-20 playthroughs with different builds). I would either play through the bulk of the game and then start a new character, or just make a multiplayer char and do fight clubs and invasions.i finally finished as a high poise build named natasha at 4am while high and drunk and super depressed. it was nice
Yep. All the time with games that have something like "New Game+". And very often with visual novels to try different routes, depending on whether you consider those games. And it's even easier to do with games that don't have a story.
The original Ratchet and Clank trilogy, Persona 5 and The Witcher 3 are the only games I've ever done this for
First one that comes to mind was Romancing SaGa Minstrel Song. Finally able to beat it blind and I wanted another crack at it to see if I could find more quests in the game. I was able to and I was able to appreciate the game much more due to it.
Only other game I could say that to is probably Darkest Dungeon.
Yeah but I don't think it counts unless you actually finish the second playthrough and are still having fun.
Games I remember doing this for: Shovel Knight, Steamworld Heist, A Link Between Worlds, Devil Survivor 1, Streets of Rage Remake, Sonic Generations

That's one of the reasons I rarely play PE2 any more. I usually play through it quite a few times before putting it down again. Why don't more games have so many unlockable modes and completion bonuses any more?

Refunct

Solus Project (although that fucking cliffhanger ending tainted the impression)

Cod4
But, it was my first cod game, first game of its gen (got new pc and previous one couldn't even run gta sa), first game focused so much on action.
So everything was fresh, new and I was just amazed by game.
I do this for almost every game I play
Epic Battle Fantasy 3
Shadow of the Colossus but mostly for the Time Attack mode.
Umihara Kawase
If it has NG+ or reasons to replay it with new shit (higher difficulty unlock, new gimmicks/weapons, etc), then yes.
Bastion.

Recently:
>GTAV, I got to about halfway through my second run before I dropped it
>MGSV, went for a 100% second run and dropped it about 3/4 through
>Hitman TM, kind of. I did a couple of runs through every map and then committed to a 100% run through every challenge on every map. So so worth it

But I stopped after about September and after getting me and toaster waifu to lvl 99.
Haven't finished it, but I went straight on to Nioh's Way of the Strong (NG+)

>GTAV, I got to about halfway through my second run before I dropped it
I was pretty close to dropping it on my first playthrough, to be honest. They took out a lot of the fun.
With character/stylish action games I'll often play the first time at an easier difficulty so I can get through the game while learning the systems and unlocking moves and experiencing whatever story/moments it has for me.
Then I'll play a few challenges and go back at a harder difficulty with greater experience and tools. Did it with Transformers Devastation recently, which is conducive to it due to the 5 characters and weapon looting/upgrading system; although I generally have a preference for Optimus/Grimlock and Hammers.
