I rarely even go for a 4wide after DT cannon. Fighting with pure combos is boring as hell, S2 does that exact same thing and it's so boring to watch compared to, say, amemiya.

Meanwhile with t-spins, you have to scout the opportunity and then decide if it's even worth it to go for one and T-spin Triples are the flashiest shit you can pull off. They just feel way better than combo's.

Imagine trying to Shoryuken, only to find out that the kick buttons aren't working and will work again after you go for another attack instead. It's too random, like I said.
With Tetris yes, there is a point where it becomes muscle memory and braindead inputs, but guess what fighting games, which Puyo is compared to, want you to be good at to even play?

S2 even said that if you practice Chaining Patterns, there is a point becomes muscle memory, so in the end, what's is the difference with Tetris?

And before you say that you don't have to even look at the opponent when playing Tetris, I'll stop you and say that's literally not true. You can look for opportunities to counter the opponents Tetris with one of your own, or tank it so you can attack with an even stronger set up and deal more damage than just countering it. Maybe it has even more stuff to it that I'm not aware.

True, it's nowhere near the extend of counterplay that can happen at Puyo, but it's still there and it's something for a game older than Puyo, a game designed with multiplayer in mind.
