Alongside the game, I keep hearing about his Discord circlejerking about the game and how he's apparently considered the best player on the server by the users there. Normally, I'm okay hearing about games I've never played before, but I'm being told as if I played it myself and hear the high and mighty status of my friend while he does so. It's really annoying.
The only other annoying game(s) I would hear about from other friends mainly involve MOBAs. The majority of their discussion involves the whole idea of being better than their team or blaming them depending on if they win or lose. If they won, they carried the entire team single-handed. If they lost, their entire team except for him is at fault. I never hear any other story except for those two.

Pretty much anything my roommate talks about. Lately it's been WoW and Overwatch. Every now and then there's an interesting nugget but for the most part it's just droning on my end. Doesn't bother me much though, I'm good at drowning things out and nodding on occasion.

Both me and my aunt's boyfriend love video games, so it's no wonder I sometimes invite to play coop games. Problem is, he lacks basic understanding of video games' mechanics and his eye-to-hand coordination is pretty poor. That wouldn't really matter much in itself, I don't care if he sucks as long as we can have a good time, but the real issue is that he's also a real sore loser. Usually what happens is that as soon as the game gets a little too challenging and he actually has to adapt, he goes full DSP and starts blaming the game in all sorts of way, and the idea that he himself is doing something wrong seems to completely elude his understanding. As the game keeps getting harder it simply reaches a point where it's obvious neither of us is having fun and we kinda give up.

Mind you, I am EXTREMELY patient, I've never gotten in an argument with him even once in the 13 years I've known him (we're both pretty chill dudes at the core) and I'm doing my best to give him tips to improve but it's like talking to a wall. That made me realize that sometimes, despite your best efforts, there are some departments where people are simply unreachable. In the end I found out that him watching me play is the best way to enjoy ourselves.

He IS ridiculously good at Resident Evil though. It might as well be the only games where everything seems to fall into place for him.
