I don't think Norweigans are that into vidya, in Sweden the goverment made a push in the 90's where they subsidized the cost of home computers for every family which made vidya really popular. It became a large subculture that sprung stuff like dreamhack, etc.
I don't think the same thing ever really caught on in Norway.

Also their landscape isn't just a forest covered ocean floor, I can see why they'd want to go outside instead.
