I have zero idea what causes the apparent nostalgia-boner people seem to have for Psychonauts, but it's not a good game. It's mediocre at best, with the only redeeming elements being the humor and world.

Psychonauts was probably the last good original platformer, and just a damn fun game.

That said I too wanted a Brutal Legend 2... but it'll probably never happen. The effort it took to get the rights to all that music, those voice actors, and hell even the game we got felt pretty unfinished. I mean I loved the fuck out of it, but the last part of it feels super sped up, I'm pretty sure an entire act of the game was missing.

There was going to be a entire punk/hardcore section that got cut because EA pulled the plug.
Either way, like all shafer games, the only good thing about that game was the art and plot the gameeplay was hot garbage and all the cameos were a totally unnecessary waste of money.
If they had dumped shafer and put someone with a clue about gameplay and money in charge, they could have made a 10/10 hack and slash game for a fraction of the budget.
