Actual role playing. You see this game? It's one of the best RPGs ever made. You know what it does during character creation to your party? It sets all of your party member races to Human and you can't do shit about it.

Races are gimmicks, if they don't carry role playing consequences in RPGs and roleplaying consequences can be achieved in ways other than giving the play the ability to choose from a shitload of races, so having a shitload of races is not a really a requirement for a good RPG.

Personally, I always play humans.
