I have no motivation to improve at the game because it feels shitty to play.
Last time someone tried to defend Heroes' gameplay all they did was list glitches and outright flaws with the game's engine and workarounds to deal with and exploit them. Being broken to the point where it's a challenge to figure out how to deal with it might be fun for, say, a speedrunner, but not for anyone who just wants to play the game.

So apparently there's a shit ton of Extra content which may include secret characters, at the least I hope one of Team Hooligan is playable or Metal Sonic.

And I guess Super Sonic was confirmed for a final boss, meaning Super forms can be used in regular stages too?

Also the fact that Tails & Knuckles apparently get their own original stages, meaning they could get Prism Night, Egg Hill, or Crusade Castle. Fuck it I'll be an optimist since everyone is shitposting it up.

None of those are about gameplay and one of those is me.
I'm a tiny bit disappointed with the ending cutscene, yes, mostly because it's only like 20 seconds and barely different from the bad ending.
Gameplay still looks great.

Modern Sonic gameplay has been really well refined even if it is fairly different from the original formula.

Apparently after Mania releases we're getting a TON of Forces information which likely includes gameplay and screenshots. So we'll finally find out why literally the whole cast is back again and shit like Chemical Plant is in the game, and Green Hill is mechanized.

What are your worries for Forces? What do you think about what looks to be a mashup of levels? What levels would you want to see mashed together? I'm thinking Cool Edge with Launch Base would be nice.

I'm worried OC will be the primary gameplay focus and there won't be enough Modern Sonic, the level design hasn't really been wowing me so far either but eh, first few levels, it may pick up later in the game. Also, the soundtrack is fucking trash so far, and for a mainline Sonic game that is unacceptable.

I do have money set aside for Forces regardless.

I actually love Modern Sonic's gameplay but this game worries me. I know we saw one level which is probably the tutorial stage but in it we see the same typical things:

> Couple enemies to homing attack here and there
> 3 or 4 alternate paths that throw you in a 2D segment
> Majority of the stage immersion being in the 2D segments even though Modern is supposed to be 3D

Like come on. Lost World's deserves it's hate but if that properly implemented long stages with similar formula and refined the boost I'm sure the immersion and in general gameplay for Modern would be better. Guess we'll have to wait a couple years for them to perfect the formula or hit fuck it and give everyone Adventure 3.
