don't automatically set your hype to fucking 11, anon. expect mediocrity so any improvement can feel significant.
I'm simply hoping for a bunch of rehashed stages that take different paths, plus high quality 1080p sprites and catchy music.
I'm not even expecting Mania to be as good as BtS + AtS put together, just flashier and longer than S3&K

To answer some questions:
1. This isn't shitposting (surprised?), just want to know more about the early Sonic games.
2. I've touched Sonic 2's first level like 10 years ago and didn't even complete it so I am basically a newcomer to this part of the Sonic games.

P.S: Mania looks pretty nice and seems to follow the original's atmosphere pretty well even for a newcomer like me (from my memories of Sonic 2).

Check out the three Taxman versions of Sonic 1, Sonic 2, and Sonic CD on mobile (also on Steam for CD). He's the guy leading the Mania project and added some bonus stuff to each game.
