It's a servicable, but not spectacular gameplay formula applied to actually really cool settings that would otherwise never be in a big budget title.

At least it's better than what they had before. AC combat has always sucked. Sure this isn't really original in any but at the very least it doesn't suck as hard as their previous melee combat system.
