This is the power of preseantion. If we continued to it hear anything about re game aside from what was leaked, it would've been hated beyond redemption.

When it was presented by miyamoto himself an showed off a decent amount of the gameplay and the other all concept of this crossover, it certainly did its job to answer questions and calm people down before it got too bad.

also helped that everyone saw how emotional the game dev for the game when Miyamoti himself showed off his game. Being one of he many highlights from E3 Nintendo.

Yeah, as soon as I heard about this game I was like what the fuck, but after seeing some footage of it at E3, it actually looks really fun.

And yeah, honestly, it's pretty bizarre how it actually looks pretty decent. The graphics are my favorite aspect I'd say. I'm still not crazy about the Rabbids, and I don't really plan on buying it, but I'll definitely give credit where credit is due.

They are shitty fucking business people. Their management is a sham that fucks with its talent and forces down anti consumer bs down our throats

That said, Ubisoft for the most part, CAN make a game. A lot of their games are average to great and their track record is astounding when it comes to being even a little innovated gameplay wise and having a diverse collection of IP's. Take R6 and For Honor for example. Both as games are really solid and add quite a spin to basic genre concepts and mechanics , but several issues cropped up from how they handled onlineserves, balancing and micro transactions that's bogged down their games considerably to varying levels.

I can go on and on about the countless offences they've commited over the decades that's murked their reputation but I will never outright dismiss them as a game dev as most people on /v/ seem o have come to the consensus about on the matter.

They're kinda like Nintendo in that regard, can't run a business or produce hardware if their lives depended on it but they rise to the challenge where game design lies in, Even if /v/ prefers to mock and highlight the flaws but never acknowledge the good.

Completely different situation. Deus Ex had a well established franchise that isn't something as cancerous and having a rep of being a literal game killer as Rabbids. That didn't prevent people for being rightfully sceptical about it being brought to life again.

The leaks in that regard, helped for he situation and for the timing of it. When it comes to presentation, it's not like leaks are exempt from this idea. They can easily help make or break a game before its ever released. It's like how Mohammed Ali used to say that fights were settled long before the match ever happens, it's all about visualization and perception. You can't just have people come to your point of view, but rather lead them to seeing what they want to see and take advantage of key moments in this timespan
