I was a Gamecube owner during the 6th gen and was always mad jealous of the PS2's library. I picked one up at the tail end of the gen and found many of my all-time favorites.

PS2 had plenty of great games, and yes it was the first DVD player we had at my house, its also the only DVD player we ever bought that is still working today.

I had a gamecube & a ps2 (got the ps2 first). Between those consoles you really had the best of that generation. Only thing I feel like I really missed out on not having the xbox was halo 2, but I played my fair share of that with friends & after getting a 360 at launch.

PS2 also had DMC, Max Payne, Jak & Daxter, Virtua Fighter 4, The Getaway, Dark Cloud 2, Shadow of the Collosus, Silent Hill 3, DBZ Budokai (1 & 3) There was plenty of shit to play on the PS2, it had the weakest hardware without a doubt but the games were there & the shit sold.

Xbox had some good titles here and there, but to say that the best games were on it is pretty absurd; especially considering you just compared it against the PS2. The GameCube literally had nothing outside of Nintendo titles and the Dreamcast, though one of my favorite systems, had a few good titles from SEGA and a few other other nice titles, but wasn't a killer platform by any means (unless you mean company killer, which it did do that).

Explain. Because almost all weaponry had secondary fire. In campaign choosing a character determined what optional paths there were to take. Characters with the knife had sweet executions, something that wasn't brought back until KZ3. Good campaign environment variety. Splitscreen and bots for MP. I really don't get the hate for KZ considering it was the best in the franchise except shadow fall. And even SF is dead because Guerilla introduced crates to MP post launch.

Probably the worst thread I've seen in a long time. PS2 had so many great games.
