Making Ganon beatable at any time was a mistake. Or at least it was with Nintendo at the wheel.

I honestly thought it was hard as fuck, it took me a few tries, way harder than any of the 4 divine beast, I don't know where you're coming from.

Zelda games are notoriously easy, especially most of the boss fights. They're almost effortless in most of the games.

The final fight in Ocarina is literally just rolling under his legs and hitting and repeating.

He isn't beatable at any time. That's a stupid myth or something only really crazy min-maxers can do. You can't hold enough strong weapons and the few you can hold will all break before he's down.

I actually went to try and beat him long before I'd even done a single Ancient Beast mission. Like, my best gear were Knight's swords and shields, worst shit being spiked Bokoblin crap and even rusted trash.
I can tell ya, it was some epic shit.

For starters, you have to do a bossrush with all the Blight Ganons. Only after those will you face with the Calamity. And obviously as you won't have the help of Champions' beasts, he'll have full HP, going to the firey aggro at 50% HP.

That's where my healing items and weapons literally ran out, and I succumbed for good. Still, it made me realize that it was possible to beat if you really git gud, but also stated that I'd better "train" harder before trying it again.

If anything, experiencing the full might like that did make the final fight after the story missions so much more satisfying.

Yeah, it's fully possible mate. I did it and I didn't really minmax that much. What I did was kill 2 Lynels and then the Guardian in the Hyrule Castle shrine. By using the weapons you get from that, it's possible. It took me two full days to beat it though, because it was incredibly difficult.
