KBM is still an objective improvement but obviously not enough if you find controller more comfortable. For me anything that isn't the optimal control is uncomfortable, so I don't use controller in this game, though it works well enough for a DPS player to do well once they get muscle memory down. My setup is Addle, Lucid, Apoc, Erase, Swiftcast.

Distraction is so worthless beyond the opener I hate having to ever take it. I replaced it with erase which actually is useful since RDM heals scale with INT so the 200 pot cure isn't awful and the ensuna effect is good to use on dps who got poisoned or something. Honestly I use it more for the clutch heal than anything else and more often than not it crits. It's a really good combo with Apoc.

I just wish tanks could keep enmity more consistently in the first 10 seconds of combat.

I've been doing it for the past year. I use MMOMinion which while it has its flaws isn't too expensive per month and does have a decent community for paid custom routines and free ones.

I never use it to complete duties nor do I use the assist feature in dungeons or the overworld unless I'm grinding mobs for drops overnight. As long as you're not completing dungeons with the bot you're generally fine with it.

Just stick to crafting/gathering/fate grinding and you'll be fine.

It makes sense for Au Ras because of the character creation limitation (very few people actually buy the expansions before trying the game out on trial mode), but these mounts can only be obtained by people at level 50 or above that are actively playing as that job in high level content (and roulettes, for the new ones), so it's not a "trial mode/base game" issue.
