No, it's a standalone story. It's a turn based RPG where you collect mythological monsters with lots of viable moves, and some social sim gameplay where you live out every day of a calendar just like your character.

Check out Limited Run Games. The usually release a Physical PS4 game that have a good chance of becoming rare later. Not all are good releases, but you definitely want to keep tabs on it. Good chance Senua's Sacrifice might show up there for example

I have never even played a Final Fantasy or Minecraft, but I am interested in getting World of FInal Fantasy and Dragon Quest Builders. I cute way to get to know all the characters i missed getting to know sounds fun. and DQB sounds like minecraft without multiplayer and no autism so its right up my alley.

You're only as good as your source and all these TVs that 'upscale' just stretch out the image and try to clean it up a bit; the end result may vary from TV to TV but IMO, it looks meh.
