Adding China to the game as an actual faction would require them to add all of east asia.
And it order to accurate represente its strength this area would consists of a shitload of small very powerful territories.

Which means the performance of the game would absolutely go to shit and you would also get a faction so powerful that it would steamroll everything in its way westwards.

Paradox can pretty accurately guess how many people will the buy the new DLC, so they know in advance approximately how much revenue it will generate. Thus, the only way to maximize profit is to minimize cost, and the best way to minimize cost is to minimize labor. So instead of making a DLC with lots of new, detailed systems that add depth but would be very labor intensive to make, they make a DLC that requires a little graphical work (a new window, some new portraits) and some simple coding (for events and modifiers) since this uses way fewer man-hours.

Honestly I just want CK3 to improves upon vassal relations so they're actually complex and long lasting, instead of the system in CK2 where you kill and replace them constantly when their usefulness is up and they become threats. Like having vassal dynasties that have remained loyal to you for generations so you intermarry with them and give them more land and titles, only to make their betrayal several generations later that much more impactful.

They should never have added India or Mongolia to begin with. Fucking retarded, should have kept to Europe + Middle East

The muslims are poorly represented in the games system to begin with. This is problem #1. They figured they needed to add India to give more depth to the Muslim experience.
