Standing by what I said last night while watching the stream now that ive seen all of it. Im pretty bummed with the game. I dont mind spoilers in general, because if something is good, it only makes me want to play it more. But I just kinda felt like everything was just ok. Never saw anything that made me go like wow I have to play that! I actually felt like some levels were worse than the originals too watching. Lava reef was especially disappointing considering how well a stage like that told a story in S3K, leading to hidden palace zone as well.. It just really lost all its charm.

Taxman's engine has already been used for the Sonic CD and runs fine. Not only that, the engine runs on toaster phones for the Android remasters.
Not to mention the actual listed minimal specs imply PCs from a decade ago should be able to run this no problem.
