Working or studying isn't autopiloting. I know what they mean by autopilot, there is a 'groove' you fall into with FPS where you're phased out and abstracted, almost not thinking at all while you play.

It's worth saying that there is an active way to play FPS too though, where you're constantly formulating little plans. It just takes deliberate effort to do that, while you can slump into autopilot mode with no sweat.

I know the feel, Halo 2 made me do this so much, but the newest CoDs and copycats just don't. It's the mix of tactics with fast reaction that Halo MP needs for you to make a kill, the TTK it has and the various game modes and varying weapon properties. I loved Halo so much.
