Even as a woman in the tech sector I don't really see initiatives like this to be helpful since participation in Computer Science courses are greatly skewed towards men, in mine I'd guess the number was below 20% female so their current number seems quite balanced.
The push needs to be at a training level for getting more girls interested in science subjects, inclusion projects like this I think will only create a sort of two tier workforce where women are more desirable than men with the exact same skillset. The end result being big companies that pay well will take a disproportionate number of female graduates while small companies will be left with an entirely male workforce.
It's all very counter productive since those small companies are where women can have a greater level of control and creative freedom over the giant corporations who merely want them to be a statistic to improve public perception of the companies values.

You know why most female coders are shit? It's because they have a much, MUCH broader range of shittiness they can be in and still get hired for the job. How could this be?

A random sample of 100 programmers could have, let's say, a ratio of 9 men to every 1 women. Each of those 10 people tiers is separated in a hierarchy of groups of ten, so there's the top 90% of coders (Which will contain 1 woman.), the top 80%, and so forth So, women are like 10% of the total. If a company decides to hire 20 of the best programmers for their team but half of them have to be women, guess what will happen? Literally every single women regardless of skills gets hired, from the bottom percentile to the top percentile. Meanwhile, only the VERY TOP TEN men get in.

So what you're left with is 10 men in the company who are without fail highly skilled, and 10 women who completely run the gamut from skilled to totally mediocre retard. If even 25% of the people working on your game are totally mediocre retards, the game will be shit. If any of those mediocre retards work their way into positions of influence (Like, on the writing staff.) things get exponentially worse.

So all this diversity hire shit is ACTIVELY reducing the quality of video games for a reason that is blatantly sexist and gives privilege to a group of people specifically because that group is unlikely to even want to fucking code in the first place. And we're supposed to see this as GOOD.

When are companies going to start hiring based solely on merit/expertise/etc?

Like if 99 white guys apply, and 1 black guy applies, and the black guy has better credentials/etc then he should be hired. And any other scenario. 99 women, 1 guy? Get the guy. 99 asians, and 1 mexican? Get the mexican. (If the case is that the "1" is the one with all the better stuff)

Companies need to stop hiring people just because they're gay, or black, or whatever the fuck. If you need to hire someone, get the best one for the job. If happens to be "straight white male", who gives a fuck?

They dont even make their own graphics anymore. They outsource everything to skilled freelancers.

I disagree, tho. It's completly possible for a gender to have different behaviors than their counterparts. That might aswell not be the case.
I do agree that this behavior is not like this because they are women, but rather, their enviroment and culture they grew up in.
And most of the time this lack of emphaty and such is more or less abyssmal. It's noticeable, but nothing important.
However, there are situations where somee things are usually pretty common.
One thing nobody will be able to covince otherwise is teamwork. Women are worse when t cones to teamwork. This does not mean they aren't qualified for the job or lack skills, just that when it comes to working along other people things get hard. They'll either have a hard time dealing with criticism or opt to work alone. Worst part is, at first, it seems the opposite, being open or willing to work with other people, but things start to get nasty the moment they clash ideas with someone else.
I want to believe I'm wrong, but I'm saying this after all years in highschool, university, job and side-projects I've done or tried to do, for more than 12 years.
