>>
>>386800460

To be clear. I say "multimonitor" but that's the impression you have, in reality it's a particular lens puted in front of a projector, who projects into a curved surface.

But it's more immersive than any VR shit in 2020ish will ever be.

There aren't that many games that were produced with 4+ players in mind.I was lucky enough to grow up in a big city with a decent arcade

There's more stuff to play today, but it's still pretty much stuck on 2 or 3player co-op,and very rarely you get 4 player options.

You also have the foreign games that rarely go beyond 2 players

other modern AC games like Groove Coaster and Gunslinger Stratos work I guess, but they also have the problem of limited exposure and can only be found at R1

Gain Ground by Sega. The Genesis version is cool, and has extra stages, but the arcade version supports 3 players. It's like if Gauntlet had a baby with Zelda and was babysat by Pac-Man. That is to say, it has exits and enemies like Gauntlet, more precise combat like Zelda, but it's limited to one screen like Pac-Man. I love it.

>mfw no Round 1s near me
>Closest one is 2-3 hours away and I have to drive the fucking turnpike to get to it
>The only thing even remotely close is some shitty indoor theme park whose only good games are Dark Escape 4D, Crus'n Blast and Pacman Battle Royale
I just want to play Gunslinger Stratos and Groove Coaster and Sound Voltex and all the other wonderful stuff they get from Japan god damn it

If you get a NESiCA card at Round1 (only $10)

You can play online with anyone around the world

What arcade battles have you always sucked at?
Pic related, this always catches me off guard.

That's the thing, I want to go to Round 1 with a fuckton of money, buy a NESiCA card and any other cards I need to save data and go online and have a full day of fun but I'm literally a state away and the turnpike is a road of nightmares

either the F-Zero AX cabinet or the Monkey Ball one.

If you ever go to Round1, best have more than $60.
$10 for the actual card
$10 for the NESiCA card
$7 for the BaNa Passport
and alot of the games will eat up your credits

Also signing up for NESiCA is a bitch, everything is in Japanese and no English, so the Round1 staff have QR Codes near certain machines to help you make an account, and there's an actual guide at the front desk.

BaNa Passport, on the other hand, has english instructions and is easy as shit to register

Is this game worth it?
And if it isn't, where can I download the original?
>>
>>386807028
Not like it matters much now. You can access AX through Nintendont and get all data that way.
>>

I might ask my family to bring me for my birthday, I've been driving for a few years now but my car's kind of dumpy and I tend to drive slowly so I'm afraid of getting into an accident on the turnpike.
Plus because it'll be my birthday I'll have plenty of money to spare for the games and cards

Well if you do go, have fun there. It's the tits.

AX is playable in GX through modding or alot of Action Replay codes

>friend has a collectibles shop in a larger building (Pokémon and magic cards are their best seller)
>he's been debating back and forth on whether he wants to shut in down and get a corporate job or invest in the shop more
>someone mentioned arcade machines and now he wants THREE, but only if someone would man the shop every Monday for minimum wage
>I immediately volunteer, and say I'll go 50/50 in the machines

Wonder if I'll regret this
Probably not
>>
>>386807396
I might risk driving there myself some point after the fact once I'm confident my car won't explode going faster than 60 and I have enough for the ridiculous toll costs which are about $20 alone to get from state to state.
Hey with any luck a Round 1 might be built in NJ some point next year
>>
>>386807303
Nigger, where have you been these past years? You can play all of AX if your Wii is softmodded.
The data for AX is on the GX disc.
>>
>>386807580
hell naw dawg, you pick that job up and become god damm legend at the machines

If you know who Yoshifan is(speedrunner who ran GX at AGDQ 2013 or something) he's been putting a lot of time into AX TAs and I think he's also working out some way to get memory card data to work with Nintendont. So far I don't think it works, but soon enough. Last update I heard was some months ago.

Holy balls. I haven't seen this name in forever. Used to play the SNES version with my brother all the time. Didn't even know there was an arcade version. Fuck.
