I haven't played a card based vidya in years. Although I do play real life yugioh on occasion.

But I'm sure a new yugioh game will be released under the radar at some point since they have to push link monsters hard despite all the negativity towards them.

The Pokemon one for GBC was pretty good. Card games are pretty good when you don't have to physically buy the cards.
It's a shame it's turned into selling digital cards instead of just being a genre.

Duel Links is pretty cool. It has none of that syncro/link/pendulum bullshit. Just speedrun your opponent with 20-30 cards.

True duel links is recent but it doesn't necessarily boost the new set which is what konami wants, which is why I was thinking one might slip under the radar in a year or so. Or maybe they go full lazy mode and just start pushing that in duel links over everything else but that seems incredibly unlikely considering the normie fan base it tends to have.

As for the actual link monsters and their new starter deck I find it really disappointing outside of the cyberse monsters. At least link monsters are a hard counter to dinosmasher.

The new starter was actually pretty decent as far as starter decks go. It at least had a few of the useful staple cards available to it.

I wish there was a deodorant or body wash that smelled like a fresh pack of Yu-Gi-Oh cards.

You have to understand that this is coming off after dinosmasher and machine reactor both of which are considered really good starters on their own with decent staples.

About half of link starter is filler trash that doesn't really help it much, such as marauding captain, beast king, and kuribandit. Those last 2 really set my standards too high.
