Jill doesn't interact with a single character in the police station, and unlocks 2 doors for Leon and Claire, and some doors being locked can be explained by saying Marvin got up and locked them to be safe, but didn't know the front door was unlocked because Jill went by while he was unconscious.
Also, Leon and Claire likely don't show up until after Jill gets to the train, because we can see the truck that hit Leon's car when going to the train. By that point, Jill would have had no reason to go back. Nothing is overcomplicated.

RE1 at best is like a 7. It not a bad game, but at the same time isn't that special. The series didn't really launch until 2 and 3 came and blow the fuck outta 1.

CV is up there with RE1, but less so because its a worse game than RE1, which is really disappointing when you realize it was meant to be RE3. Its way too long, Steve the terrible, story is a mess, and it only become mildly enjoyable when Chris is introduced.

RE0 is easily the worse game in the series, hands down. The story is bad even by RE standards and it leads to nothing since its never mentioned again, the enemies and bosses are shit, Billy and Rebecca are shit characters, rehashes popular locations from previous games while being bad at it, gameplay is awful, backtracking is the worse especially on your first playthrough because of the fucking Hookshot, dropping items is a good idea in theory but was done poorly here. I can go on, but I rather not. Just thinking about the game gives me a headache. The best part about the game was the train section and that's not even 10mins

Not really, it was more Survival-Horror-Action. RE4 dropped the survival and the horror aspects, as enemies drop ammo and there are too many of them and their attacks too slow for them to be a threat. Also, the Merchant negates all challenge because you can upgrade weapons or just buy a rocket launcher and first aid sprays whenever you want. So, RE4 is an action game

Critical acclaim in vidya means jackshit. MGSV, Fallout 3 and 4, Undertale, and some of the Battlefield and CoD games received critical acclaim, what does that tell you.

But, can you buy health items, new weapons or pay to upgrade current weapons? Also, boss enemies in RE2 actually deal damage, and late game bosses like mutated Mr X deal a lot of damage and are hard to take down on harder difficulties.
There's also the limited herb issue, and the challenge given by the game to not use F Aid Sprays.

But you have to find gun powder, and to make certain types of ammunition you need to stock up on red and yellow powder, and you wanting magnum bullets might come back to bite you in the ass when you're out of ammo and aren't near an item box to get your powder.
Also, RE3 has a near impossible to take down enemy chasing you called Nemesis, and if you want special rewards, you need to take him down 7 times, and that's only if you're playing on hard.
They were still Survival-Horror with an action flair.
RE4 is action with a horror flair.

When Jill goes into the police station, Nemesis gets in through the window on the west side, past those barriers. It's pretty obvious Nemesis got rid of them to get to the window.

Actually, I have a theory. Why do you think Leon seems different in RE4, compared to himself in 2 and the epilogue in 3? It's because the monster became part of him, rather than taking his appearance, and when Leon removes Las Plagas, it unintentionally removes the monster from his system.
That's all I got. For some reason though, 4D Executer is still canon, and it's made by the guys who made Gaiden and it has the same ending
