How do we stop the fantasycucks, my fellow historybros? IT'S NOT FAIR

>How do we stop the fantasycucks

Change the education system. I swear school does more harm than good making kids associate history with homework.
>>
>>386777608
Do they even teach history in Murikan schools?
>>
>>386777732

They teach a little American history here but if you asked me about another countries history I would know fuck all

Literally, if you want to learn European history in high school, you have to take it as an AP elective. This means that most kids won't learn European history because AP classes are the "hardest" classes you can take in high school and most kids would rather pick an elective with less work like music or gym.

Total war games are bad. I had lots of fun with Rome 1 but the AI should've been vastly improved since then and it hasn't
>>
>>386777732
In High School (at least my school) they taught a year of Europe history (2nd year), a year of US (3rd year) and freshmen year was everywhere else. Senior year was semester of US gov't and semester of economics.

I dont remember what we did in middle school because that was so long ago but I remember thinking it felt like there was so much being ignored.

Depends on the state. In NYC all students must take 2 semesters of both US history and Global history
>>
>>386780015
same, in washington i had to do us history and world history

just another reason the coasts are superior
>>
>>386780015
>Global history
And global history is either world war 2 or the great war, both taught dramatically incorrectly with Americans as the saviors of both.
>>
>>386777732
liberal teachers take advantage of history classes by teaching kids how to hate western civilizationg and love indian savages.
>>
>>386776096
Here, I learned European History, Ancient History, African History, and North American History. I'm not american. Some schools had Histories for Asia as well, but not mine.
>>
>>386780272
It's really just World War 2, SOME of ancient history and that's honestly about it.

I really don't know how they don't talk about Korea, the Cold War, or Vietnam if they're only gonna stick to wars.
>>
Warhammer is fucking fun and all, I really do like it and I think Warhammer 2 will be really, really good, but I would love another Historical one.

Alright /v/, let's hear it. What period? Any event based-shit similar to Attila you'd like to see?

>tfw Empire 2 never
>>
What's with the Empire resurgence? I was just noticing thing while looking at the top 100 played games the other day.

Because Governments decide what you get taught in school all those wars look incredibly bad for the USA. Not being American, here the cold war was a pretty important topic as well as some middle east conflicts if we're talking recent wars.

it's be cool if they did the Mongols and had all of Eurasia

How the fuck is Rome 2 the most popular (history) total war right now?
>>
I'm probably the only one but I would love another game set in the early modern period, like Empire
>>
Empire might be fun. But I really want medival 3.
>>
>>386777732
Of course they do, moron. But they go over things very briefly unless it pertains to either ancient civilizations or 18th-21st century America/world conflicts.

Other than that, if you don't take up interest and look into things yourself, you wouldn't even know what happened and where in between and around those topics
>>
>>386780636
This. Also those numbers and spread are still pretty good for those older games. I would not have thought empire and napoopan still had that much of an active player base today.

You're not alone anon. I loved the scope of the campaign map.

Medieval 3 would be good too so I don't have go back and deal with the wonky unit AI.
>>
>>386776096
Total Warhammer is popular for one reason, the armies are actually distinct.

but that already came out on mobile phones

They mostly just teach American history now, if it was before 1776 it was irrelevant and if it happened after but didn't involve us then it didn't really happen.

They pad it all out by talking about how terrible Slavery and our treatment of Native Americans was so awful but they don't dare talk about any of the shit that happened around Vietnam or Cold War times because that would get kids thinking on why such drastic measures would be taken to protect themselves from Communism. No mention of Mao or Khmer Rogue in the textbooks and Stalin was a good boy who didn't do nothing
>>
>newest game has more people playing it than the other older games

NOOOOOOO

THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING
>>
>>386777732
It's mostly slaves, Holocaust, McCarthyism, and some 9/11 for us.
>>
>>386783265
It's ok anon, civ 6 is still underpopulated compared to 5.
>>
>>386776096

Don't be salty, Warhammer got fucking destroyed by GW, so its fans migrated to Total War: Warhammer.
>>
>>386780865
it got fixed, it's pretty good now
