They were as close to recolors as you could get. I wouldn't mind if they pulled inspiration from Left 4 Dead 2 for some new enemies. It could make for some great combat scenarios and make you think harder how to avoid them to manage time.

Also, combo weapons are back. But they're scaled down. More realistic and gritty like DR2.

I mean, I hope this is true.
DR1 is one of the greatest games of all time.
I just don't want to get my hopes up.

Though I rather enjoyed 2, each of the mainline games has still been a step down from the last.
I could take DR1 seriously to a degree but the rest of them just got further and further off the rails.
