there isn't even anything different. it's just dota as a card game.
stolen from /vg/
Does this mean I have to grind minions every single game?

the game works like magic the gathering battlegrounds except with a mix of yugioh
I get that it's a digital card game so it can be more complex but what the fuck that's a ton of stuff for a single card
>>386762079
that's fairly simple for a standard card compared to modern yugioh or magic.
>>386762051
how do the lanes work?
This really deactivates my almonds
How could that be playable as an actual tabletop card game? Why even call it a card game then?
>>386761585
>Turns out it just becomes a 1v1 Dota 2 game that's turned based
That doesn't sound too bad lol

Now go back you subhuman
Make way! Only good digital card game coming through
I dont follow dota at all but I like mtg, this is kind of confusing though. So you arent summoning things like creatures or have the ability to cast spells on your opponents turn and you just control your hero and equip/upgrade them?
>>386762697
Hearthstone isn't playable as an actual tabletop card game either
>>386763296
>have the ability to cast spells on your opponents turn
This is the first thing they remove from digital card games and it makes the games ridiculously boring.
>>386761585
The way I see it, this might be a way for some people to understand the strategy of the game better.
I'm in, even if it just because I still want to see what Valve is capable of. Be it more Dota or Half Life 3, who cares. Let's see what happens.

>talent tree for a card in a card game
I dunno man, that looks like a pretty big violation of the K.I.S.S. rule to me.
>>386763209
You fucked up, but I forgive you because I like you.
>>386762137
>that's fairly simple for a standard card compared to modern yugioh or magic.
The fuck are you talking about, here's even a more filled blue card that has less shit than that Dota card.

>they cropped the top of the image so you don't see it's a fake
Nice try.
